El Dakhla Hospital is a greenfield public hospital development in Egypt’s New Valley governorate, commissioned by the Egyptian Ministry of Health to expand healthcare access in the Western Desert region.
Cairo Contracting was appointed as general contractor for the full delivery of the facility, with responsibility for the reinforced concrete superstructure, comprehensive mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems, medical gas distribution networks, interior finishes, and external civil works. The remote oasis location required extended logistical planning for materials supply and workforce accommodation. The building scope was executed in full compliance with Ministry of Health design standards covering ward layouts, infection control zoning, operating theatre suites and emergency access arrangements.
The hospital materially expanded healthcare provision for a historically underserved population and forms part of Cairo Contracting’s growing portfolio of Ministry of Health projects across Upper Egypt and the desert governorates.
