The eight healthcare units programme comprised the construction of eight new primary healthcare facilities across Upper Egypt, commissioned by the Egyptian Ministry of Health to decentralise basic and outpatient healthcare services into smaller community-level units. Cairo Contracting was appointed as general contractor for the full multi-site programme, with responsibility at each unit for the reinforced concrete superstructure, comprehensive mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems, medical gas distribution, interior finishes, and external civil works.
Delivery of eight concurrent sites required centralised procurement, standardised construction details to drive efficiency and quality consistency, and a rotating site management model. The successful execution of the programme demonstrated Cairo Contracting’s capability to deliver repeatable healthcare templates at scale and supported the Ministry’s strategic objective of bringing healthcare services closer to the populations they serve.
